PROJECT 1: JUNIOR STORMTROOPER HELMETDATE: APRIL 2004 |
||
This was my first project trying to make a stormtrooper costume. I made it for my son who was at that time 5 years old. I used my Don Post helmet as model for making the paper templates and then resized them. The material that I used to make the helmet is foam isolation with thin cardboard attached to one side. I found this material in a local do-it-yourself shop. It is not a very strong material, but it lets itself cut with normal scissors and is very flexible. I used white duct tape on the inside (foam side) to attach the different parts. Glue could not be used here because it dissolves the foam.
